A World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a world Scouting event for young people aged between 14 and 17 and is a gathering of Scouts and Guides from all over the world for an exciting programme of global development, peace, cultural understanding, adventure, fun and friendship. It’s a chance of a lifetime that will influence your way of thinking for the rest of your life.
Purpose of this Pack
This Jamboree information pack is designed to provide information to prospective Jamboree participants of Greater Manchester North Scout County, their parents and their leaders for the WSJ in Korea in 2023. Further information about the Jamboree itself can be found online at the Scouts UK Jamboree Website.
Once completed, send your register to attend the selection event to WSJ2023@gmnscouts.org.uk (or submit via the webform) on or before Noon on the 4th January 2022.
The UK Contingent to the 25th World Scout Jamboree
In Summer 2023, more than 40,000 Scouts from all over the world will gather in Korea for the 25th World Scout Jamboree. We’re so proud that thousands of UK young people aged 14 to 17 and their leaders will be there, we’ll call the 3,960 UK participants, the UK Contingent.
Who can attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree?
Youth participants are aged between 14 and 17. You must have been born between 22 July 2005 and 31 July 2009 to be eligible. In our county, we have 36 participant places available for the most incredible experience of your life so far.
