Greater Manchester North Scout County

Who are We?

In Greater Manchester North Scouts, we believe every young person deserves an adventure. Whether it’s a Squirrel Scout spending their first night away from home or an Explorer Scout embarking on an international trip, adventure is at the core of everything we do.

From cliff abseiling to lake zorbing, fire lighting to beach paddling, our members enjoy an incredible variety of activities—learning, growing, and having fun along the way. Each section offers unique activities at various times and locations, ensuring something exciting is always happening. Part of a worldwide movement with over 60 million members, our opportunities are nearly limitless.

Scouting in Greater Manchester North supports young people aged 4-25 through fun, challenges, unique experiences, and the chance to contribute positively to their communities. We help youth and adults reach their full potential by developing essential life skills, from teamwork and leadership to cultural awareness and self-motivation.

Greater Manchester North includes six Scout Districts, covering the metropolitan areas of Bolton, Bury, Oldham & Rochdale.
