Greater Manchester North have arranged to once again host D of E Expedition Supervisor and Assessor Training Courses – Numbers are limited, so don’t delay and apply today!

The Expedition Supervisor training course helps supervisors understand their role and tasks, manage risk and provide the best quality expedition experience possible for all young people.

  • November 25thAssessors’ Training(9a.m.-4p.m.)

All DofE qualifying expeditions must be assessed by a DofE accredited expedition assessor. The aim of this course is to prepare assessors to undertake this role, provide an overview of 20 conditions of the expedition section and help them facilitate the young people’s success.

The Courses are once again being held in Bolton, in conjunction with Cheshire County.  Members of Greater Manchester North will not be charged to attend the courses, as the County covers the cost of County arranged Adult Training.  Members from Cheshire County and those from outside of each County are welcome to apply, using the relevant application forms.

Each course will be limited to 20 participants.
The Assessors will be older than 18. They will need the relevant Scout Terrain permit or equivalent external qualification.  The Supervisors need the relevant Scout permits, as detailed on The Scout Association Guidance.
