Appointment
of County Commissioner – Greater Manchester North
Please find below an announcement from
the Regional Commissioner which replaces the communication sent earlier
from County HQ.
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Neil Gorton as the new County
Commissioner.
Neil is well known to many of you as the District Commissioner for Radcliffe
and brings experience and a proven track record of success in two Counties
within the North West.
Neil has a clear plan to ensure that the County achieves the 2018 Vision and,
as he has ably demonstrated in Radcliffe District,
will be able to provide inspiration and leadership for Greater Manchester North
Scout County.
Neil will commence his appointment as County Commissioner (Designate) on 1st
January 2012 and County Commissioner on 1 April 2012. I am sure you will
wish to join me in wishing him all the best in his new appointment.
There will of course be opportunity in the coming months for you to say
“farewell” and to show your appreciation to John Woolley for all his dedicated
work in the County.
Yours in Scouting,
Chris Harris
Regional Commissioner - North West
