Dog Hill Camp Site

Dog Hill Scout & Community Camp site, Shaw, Oldham, England.

There is plenty of work projects. so if you fancy a bit of exercise contact Mike. Nothing that needs any specific skills.

Help is Needed

As a volunteer organisation most of the work done to date on the camp has been through the goodwill of a handful of people. We are always looking for people who have particular talents which they would be glad to provide, free of charge of course, to help develop the site. If you are that person or you have something, tools, seating, tables, large amounts of money, whatever, that you think we could use then please let us know. All of this helps provide our children with experiences they will never forget.

Giant Seat Camp Site

Giant’s Seat Scout & Community Campsite is wholly owned by Radcliffe District Scout Association and is open to use by other organisations. We especially encourage youth and community organisations to use a facility not generally available in the Greater Manchester area.

We are a traditional "Backwoods" style campsite with basic facilities – offering a rare opportunity for young people to really get away from all the pressures and distractions of modern life !

It is strongly recommended that you visit the site before making a booking if you have not stayed with us before.
