January 3rd Start of adult
indoor and manmade structures climbing permit training. Note.
Places may be available for Explorers
Course to run
for 12 weeks with 1 week theory 11 practical and assessment on Tuesday night’s 7.30pm
all equipment provided; indoor and manmade structure climbing permit achievable at the end
of the course. Fee £85 on registration. (Max 10 places or if places free mixture of
adults and Explorer Scouts) fees based on wall fees not
increasing in 2012
May 6th and May
13th Have a go rock climbing for Scouts and Explorer Scouts. (Windgather) 10am till 3pm
Introduction
to rock climbing and mandatory for climbing badge either May or June dates. Fee £5. (Max
9 places each date. To be booked by 26th April)
May 15th Start
of adult, outdoor climbing permit training.
Course to run for 12 weeks
for adults who have attended the indoor course or have previous logged experience. Fee £35 on Registration
(Max 10 places or if places free a mixture of adults and Explorer Scouts) See note *
June 3rd and 10th Have a go
rock climbing for Scouts and Explorer Scouts. (Windgather)
10am till 3pm
Introduction to rock climbing and mandatory for climbing badge either May or June

September-
start of Scouts and Explorer Scouts climbing badge course. Fee £10 (Max 20
places to be booked by 23rd Aug) see note#
6th Sept theory night and
registration at Middleton HQ 7.30pm. Fee £10.
9th
Sept climbing on rock outdoors 10am start approx 3.30 finish.
16th Sept climbing on rock outdoors if bad
weather or missed first date only.
23th Sept climbing on rock outdoors if bad
weather or missed 1st and 2nd dates.

scouts and explorers must have read and learned the badge requirements and attended one of
the Have a go
dates.
*As climbing outdoors is
dependent on fine weather the permit courses will continue indoors at prearranged walls
any entrance fees will be extra.
